This was not a commission, it was the Calloway's personal beach house.

The design draws from classic Bald Head Island coastal vernacular with a gentle nod to Cape Cod - cedar shake cladding, architectural shingle roof, and lines so graceful they stop you at the door. Inside, the detailing is extraordinary. The millwork is bold yet refined, the hardware hammered and custom, the appliances paneled seamlessly into the design. A ground-floor elevator connects the garage directly to the kitchen - one of many decisions that reflect how thoughtfully the home was planned for daily living.

The scale of this home is grand but not overwhelming. A main-level bedroom suite opens to its own private screened porch. Two generous suites upstairs enjoy water views and comfortable separation for guests. A den adjacent to the main living area includes a full bath and a built-in sleeping nook, offering additional space for guests without compromising the home's overall flow.
